Kim Brebach

Joiner of Dots

Kim Brebach

Hi, I’m Kim Brebach, an early Boomer. I was born in 1946 in bleak, post-war Germany. My mother often said to me:  ‘I don’t know how you grew so tall when I had nothing to feed you’. The only light in my life was music. At the time it was folk: mostly Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and Donovan.

Tracey James

Fixer of Things

Tracey James

Hello, I’m Tracey James, a later Boomer born in 1956. I grew up on Sydney’s North Shore; a stark contrast to Kim’s youth in occupied Westfalia. The music I loved was wildly different too: pure rock like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. I’m pretty sure Kim would have hated that.
